Prayer Force Won Prayer Journal Oct. 29

Prayer Requests and Praises from YOU

The Prayer Force Won staff encourages all prayer warriors that want to get involved in an intercessory prayer group to join our Prayer Force team! Many people keep a prayer journal to document prayers and the answers to those prayers. We strongly encourage each prayer warrior on our team to do likewise and to occasionally submit entries from your journal that you feel would be a blessing to the others. Journaling documents your progress as you pray for needs and, if you elect to post to your journal your personal testimonies of growth and drawing closer to God, those are particularly of interest to the group as your progress will likely encourage others who might be struggling.
Published Prayer Requests in any Prayer Force Won Journal posted here were wither made public on Social Media or we received them via email with permission to use names.

This week’s Prayer Requests

My friend in London, Barry Evans, was admitted to the hospital with an infection that is not known exactly what is causing it at this time. He went into hospital for a routine procedure earlier this week and they kept him. He has been feeling poorly for some time now, so I am sure would appreciate everyone’s prayers, thanks!  Brother Barry is Founder and Manager / writer / Barnabas christian magazine at NHS Professionals, Gospel singer and a Hospital Chaplain at NHS Professionals.

From a pastor in Louisiana:
Pastor David Hill; “I’ll have MRI mapping (this past Friday). After that, we’ll schedule brain surgery. Thank you for your prayers.”

Pray for a woman who is recovering from a mastectomy.  Complications have developed and she now needs special prayer to get through all of the things she faces now.   She and her husband live in Texas.

Please pray for our friend, Jerry Kelso, who formerly played piano for the Dove Brothers, Dixie Melody Boys, JD Sumner And The Stamps Quartet, The Singing Americans and who now plays occasionally for the Cavalier’s Quartet in Lynchburg, TN sends this report on his health:
“The Cervical Spine MRI showed I have multiple bulging discs due to Degenerative Disc Disease.
I have been referred to an orthopedic doctor and I will know more after that about surgery or not.
Even though my walking has been affected and my shoulder, shoulder blade, arm, hands and fingers with the paresthesia which is referred pain I believe maybe I can do some physical therapy or step it up on the exercising or massaging and maybe get the pain out and the numbness and weakness etc. so I can play the piano again.

From a friend in Georgia (name redacted):
A lady who is a friend of Brother Ed has had brain surgery to remove a tumor and was in a coma. We’ve been unable to get an update, but we are sure things are still terrible for her. Please continue to pray for Pamela.

Pray for several people in Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee who have tested positive for Covid.

Pray for a woman in Mississippi who is undergoing chemo for breast cancer. She is having a particularly hard time coping.

Pray for a man in Georgia and a woman in Mississippi, both have lung cancer.

Pray for a man in Mississippi who has throat cancer.

Pray for a woman in Mississippi who has a rare form of brain cancer.

Pray for a Christian woman in Alabama who is struggling with alcoholism.

Please continue to pray for Brian Chrisagis, the surviving twin brother of the Christian Singing Group, The Chrisagis Brothers. His twin brother, Shawn Crisagis passed away a few weeks ago suddenly of a massive heart attack. Brian is having a particularly difficult time as a twin who was suddenly left behind. The two of these brothers were inseparable. Brian said, “I’m not grieving over where Shawn is… I have no question he is in heaven. I just can’t get past the grieving for myself and all that goes with being alone in everything I do now.” Please lift him up in prayer. Brian is getting some help, but it is very difficult to have been so close as brothers and in partnership ministry singing together for all these years to suddenly lose someone that close.

A woman in Mississippi, a man in Alabama and two people in Georgia are praising the Lord that they have finished chemo and radiation for cancer. All now say they are in remission! Praise the Lord for answered prayers!

Continue to pray for A woman in Georgia is in the midst of unimaginable family problems. She is caretaker for her very sick husband and her elderly parents and now is having severe financial problems to boot. She said to me, “I TRY my best to believe, that God has a plan for me. I know HE does. I just can’t see it. And yet there is so much more. But I feel like, my insides are being pulled apart. And I am drowning!” I cannot begin to tell you how many people who are depressed and feel there is no reason for them to keep on living.  Depression is not a “spiritual problem,” it is very real, as real as any physical illness that mankind suffers with. Please pray and encourage someone who is depressed. It could be the difference between life and death. And, always remember, “if not for the Grace of God, there go you or I.”

A woman in Georgia who had breast cancer in the third stage has had double mastectomies and it has spread to a lung. Now, they have removed part of that lung and she is home recovering. Praise the Lord for answers to prayer!
Pray for a middle aged lady who was one of my “camp kids” many years ago who is struggling with an abusive husband. He turned away from God several years ago, she tells me, and is now an alcoholic and is “out of control.” She has even feared for her life on several occasions. She has left him and is seeking protection from him. He is enraged and has threatened her since she left home. Please pray for this sweet lady who loves God and still loves her husband, in spite of it all.

There are several people that have requested prayer for heart problems on our list today.  Some are in the process of testing to determine the problem, one awaiting an EKG that is somehow tangled up in red tape and praying that they can get it soon, one person has had a massive heart attack and is not expected to live, another has congestive heart failure that has moved towards the final stages, a lady in Tennessee had a heart attack yesterday but the test results haven’t come back yet so we don’t know how bad it was and two older men are having chest pains, both are in the hospital and awaiting testing.  Please pray for all these people!  They didn’t want names mentioned.

Debby Boone posts this about her Dad, Pat Boone.   “I know it has been a minute… most of you have probably already seen my dad’s social media and know that he fractured his hip 10/16 and had a surgery 10/18.  He was in the hospital for a week and I was with him for most of that week.  He is now back home and recovering remarkably!!  Our biggest concern now is holding him back from pushing himself too fast but we are so grateful for all the messages, prayers and concerns.”
