Prayer Force Journal Nov 5

Prayer Requests and Praises from YOU

The Prayer Force Won staff encourages all prayer warriors that want to get involved in an intercessory prayer group to join our Prayer Force team! Many people keep a prayer journal to document prayers and the answers to those prayers. We strongly encourage each prayer warrior on our team to do likewise and to occasionally submit entries from your journal that you feel would be a blessing to the others. Journaling documents your progress as you pray for needs and, if you elect to post to your journal your personal testimonies of growth and drawing closer to God, those are particularly of interest to the group as your progress will likely encourage others who might be struggling.
Published Prayer Requests in any Prayer Force Won Journal posted here were wither made public on Social Media or we received them via email with permission to use names.

This week’s Prayer Requests

From a pastor in Louisiana:
Pastor David Hill; “I’ll have MRI mapping (this past Friday). After that, we’ll schedule brain surgery. Thank you for your prayers.”  Update:  “Dr. Just called. MRI showed them nothing they didn’t already know. I see the surgeon on the 9th. At that time we’ll schedule the surgery. Thanks so much for the prayers.”

From a friend in Georgia (name redacted):
A lady who is a friend of Brother Ed has had brain surgery to remove a tumor and was in a coma. We’ve been unable to get an update, but we are sure things are still terrible for her. Please continue to pray for Pamela.  UPDATE:  Pam is still in critical condition and is still fighting for her life.  Please pray for her and her husband, Derrell.

Pray for several people in several states who’ve requested prayer because they have tested positive for Covid.  UPDATE:  Some of these people are better and others have been added.  Please pray for those affected by this illness!

Pray for a woman in Mississippi who is undergoing chemo for breast cancer.   She is doing better but has a long road still ahead.

Several people have requested prayer because they have lung cancer.  One is in critical condition, one is in third stage and has radical chemo and radiation ahead, one has but a few days to live according to the doctors.  Another has just recently been diagnosed, apparently stage two according to preliminary stages and is quite frightened by this diagnosis.  A person in Georgia is struggling a lot during chemo and radiation and faces surgery to remove part of his lung soon.  And, a man in Mississippi is in final stage four – he was put on Hospice this week.

Misc. Needs:  Pray for a man in Mississippi who has throat cancer.  Pray for a woman in Mississippi who has a rare form of brain cancer.  Pray for a Christian woman in Alabama who is struggling with alcoholism.   Pray for a pastor and his wife who are seeking help for marital problems that started when he took a bad fall and hit his head very hard, and as she says, “he became a different man.”  They are trying very hard to stabilize their marriage, please keep them in prayer.

Please continue to pray for Brian Chrisagis, the surviving twin brother of the Christian Singing Group, The Chrisagis Brothers. His twin brother, Shawn Crisagis passed away a few weeks ago suddenly of a massive heart attack. Brian is having a particularly difficult time as a twin who was suddenly left behind.  UPDATE:  Brian continues to need our prayers.  He is beginning to attend functions and venues the two had booked prior to Shawn’s passing, but Brian says that he’s “tired of painting a smile over a heart that hurts like mine does.”  This is a particularly tough situation for Brian because these two twin brothers were inseparable until Shawn suddenly passed due to a massive heart attack.

Men and women (not previously mentioned) in several states including Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia are praising the Lord that they have finished chemo and radiation for cancer. All now say they are in remission! Praise the Lord for answered prayers!

Heart problems abound on the prayer list today.  Three men in Mississippi and two women with various types of heart problems.  Several in Alabama, several in Tennessee and one in Kentucky requesting prayer.  I always appreciate your prayers for me as I’ve battled heart disease for over 25 years now, and I’m also a cancer survivor who now fights the remnants of Cisplatin (Chemo) and Radiation.  Cancer is a terrible disease!  Please continue to pray for the cancer patients you know!  And, send us requests for them!

“Rusty,” a friend with whom I went to Bible College, has a brain tumor.  He is taking targeted therapy and chemotherapy.  Pray these treatments will work together to help the tumor to stop growing and that his body can become healthy enough to go through these treatments and for the strength to endure the side effects.

Please continue to pray for these ongoing requests and prayer needs:

Pray for a woman who is recovering from a mastectomy.  Complications have developed and she now needs special prayer to get through all of the things she faces now.   She and her husband live in Texas.

Please pray for our friend, Jerry Kelso, who formerly played piano for the Dove Brothers, Dixie Melody Boys, JD Sumner And The Stamps Quartet, The Singing Americans and who now plays occasionally for the Cavalier’s Quartet in Lynchburg, TN.  He’s home and recovering from a procedure that MIGHT hinder his ability to play the piano.  He needs our prayers.

Pray for a woman in Georgia who lives in the middle of the most severe family problems I’ve ever heard about.  I know them to be true because a friend also told me about the situation.  She is trying to hold up under terrible duress, but she is getting weaker due to physical problems that are developing on top of everything.  Thanks for your prayers. This lady was one of my many “camp kids” many years ago.

Continue to pray for the woman in Georgia who had breast cancer, had double mastectomies and lung surgery to remove an infested part of her lung as well.  She was one of my “camp kids” from my days as camp director for a church-sponsored camp where many young people found Christ.

Please pray for our friend and the Mother of our employee at Joy Christian Radio, Jewel Anderton.  Jewel lost her husband last year, and is now on hospice herself as she struggles with multiple health problems.  Also pray for Donna as she travels over as often as she can to help take care of her.  Jewel lives in North Alabama.

Last minute adds:

Pray for a woman’s grandson who has just been incarcerated.  She specifically asks prayer that the Lord might open his eyes and let him see the evil of his ways.  She raised him several years of his younger life and she says he has the love of God “planted firmly” in his heart.  Pray that God helps him remember that she and God love him, in spite of all he has done.

From the Prayer Link, Women’s prayer group:

Please remember the Family of Graham Allen Gill from DeRidder, LA.  He went home to be with the Lord November 1st 2023

Pray for a man from Louisiana who has cancer.  Pray for a woman from Louisiana who was the victim of a gun shot.   Please have special prayer for a family from Lake Charles, Louisiana whose mother passed away this week.   Please pray for the Reverend

Pray for a woman from Marthaville Louisiana who was diagnosed with a very progressive lung cancer.
Please pray for a woman from Marthaville Louisiana has COPD and Heart problems.
